Rajasthan State Judicial Services

  • Phase 1 – Prelims Rajasthan Judicial Services examination is of objective type.
  • Phase 2 – Mains examination is of written type.
  • Phase 3 – Interview of Rajasthan Judicial Services

There is No Negative Marking in the prelims examination.

PHASE 1 – PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION

You will first take the preliminary exam, a 100-mark objective test. In which the subjects listed on the curriculum for Law Papers I and II will receive a weighting of 70%, and Hindi and English language competence tests will receive a weighting of 30%. The following topics will form the basis of the question:

  • Law: Same as prescribed for Law Paper I & II for Main Examination.
  • Hindi
  • English Proficiency :
    • Tenses
    • Articles and Determiners
    • Phrasal Verbs and Idioms
    • Active & Passive Voice
    • Coordination & Subordination
    • Direct and Indirect Speech
    • Antonyms and Synonyms
    • Modals expressing various concepts- (Obligation, Request, Permission, Prohibition, Intention, Condition, Probability, Possibility, Purpose, Reason, Companies, Contrast)

PHASE 2 – MAINS EXAMINATION

The mains examination has consisted of three papers in Rajasthan Judicial Services

PAPER I (100 MARKS)

You will be asked a question based on the following:

  • Code of Civil Procedure, 1908,
  • The Constitution of India
  • Indian Contract Act, 1872,
  • The Indian Evidence Act, 1872
  • The Limitation Act, 1963
  • The Specific Relief Act, 1963
  • The Transfer of Property Act, 1882
  • Interpretation of Statutes
  • The Rajasthan Rent Control Act, 2001
  • Order/Judgement Writing

PAPER-II (100 MARKS)

You will be asked the questions based on the following:

  • The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973
  • The Indian Evidence Act, 1872
  • The Indian Penal Code, 1860
  • The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children)Act, 2015
  • The Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (ChapterXVII)
  • The Probation of Offenders Act,1958
  • Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005
  • Framing of Charge/Judgement Writing.

PAPER III – LANGUAGE PAPER (100 Marks)

  • Paper-A Hindi Essay (50M) (Essay Writing in the Hindi Language)
  • Paper-B English Essay (50M) (Essay Writing in the English Language)

NOTE: Minimum marks are 40% in each written paper and aggregate of 50% to qualify for the interview. Relaxation of 5% each has been made for SC/ST/PWD.

PHASE 3 – INTERVIEW

  • The interview will carry (35 Marks)
