Delhi State Judicial Services
- Phase 1 – Delhi Judicial Services Prelims examination is of objective type.
- Phase 2 – Delhi Judicial Services Mains exam is of written type.
- Phase 3 – Delhi Judicial Services Interview
Negative marking of 0.25 will be deducted in the prelims examination.
PHASE 1 – PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
You will first take the Delhi Judicial Services preliminary exam, a 200-mark objective test. The following topics will form the basis of the question:
- Aptitude
- General knowledge
- English
- Constitution of India
- Code of Criminal Procedure
- Code of Civil Procedure
- Indian Penal Code
- Indian Contract Act
- Indian Partnership Act
- The principle governing Arbitration Law
- Specific Relief Act
- Indian Limitation Act
- Indian Evidence Act
PHASE 2 – MAINS EXAMINATION
The exam is conducted under the four papers:
PAPER I – GK AND LANGUAGE (250 M)
- General knowledge – 100 Marks
- Language –150 Marks
PAPER-II – CIVIL LAW I (200 M)
You will be asked the question based on the following:
- Indian contract act
- Indian sales of good act
- Indian partnership act
- Specific relief act
- Hindu law
- Mohammedan law
- Delhi rent control act
- Law of torts
PAPER III – CIVIL LAW II (200M)
You will be asked the question based on the following:
- Civil Procedure Code
- Law of Evidence
- Law of Limitation
- Law of Registration
PAPER IV – CRIMINAL LAW (200M)
You will be asked the question based on the following:
- Criminal procedure code
- Indian Penal Code
- Indian evidence act
NOTE: Minimum marks are 40% in each written paper and aggregate of 50% to qualify for the interview. Relaxation of 5% each has been made for SC/ST/PWD.
PHASE 3 – INTERVIEW (100 Marks)
- The interview will carry 150 Marks.
- Need to score at least 50% (relaxation by 5% for RC) to qualify.
- The aggregate of the marks obtained in both the interview and the written exam will determine the position.
