Punjab State Judicial Services
- Phase 1 – Prelims Punjab Judicial Services examination is of objective type.
- Phase 2 – Mains exam is of written type.
- Phase 3 – Punjab Judicial Services Interview
Negative marking of 1.5 will be deducted in the prelims examination
PHASE 1 – PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
The preliminary exam, an objective test with 125 questions and a maximum of 4 marks per answer, will be the first thing you encounter. The same material covered in Papers I through IV of the Main Examination will be covered in the syllabus for the preliminary examination. The key themes will be expected to be covered by the applicants in general and at a basic level, and they should also be able to respond to questions about current events of national and international significance, Indian legal and constitutional history, and governance.
PHASE 2 – MAINS EXAMINATION
The exam has consisted of five papers

PAPER IV – ENGLISH (200 MARKS)
- English Essay (1000 – 1100 words)
- Precise Writing
- Words & Phrases (make sentences of given words and phrases)
- Comprehension
- Corrections
PAPER V – LANGUAGE (150 MARKS)
- Punjabi language in Gurumukhi script.
